How to change a tap

1. Hold onto the earpiece and grip the edge of the tip.
2. Carefully pull off the old tip
3. Push the earphone firmly into the centre of the new tip, all the way to the bottom
4. Press firmly to ensure the tip is properly attached
5. Check the fit and test the sound

How often does the tip need to be changed?

The recommended replacement interval is at least once a month or more often as needed.

Regular replacement prevents earwax buildup, extends the lifespan of your hearing aid, and ensures optimal sound quality. When changing the tip, it's also recommended to change the Oticon ProWax miniFit wax guard.

Cleaning and storing of tip

The tips should be cleaned daily, for example with a cleaning cloth. Unused tips will remain usable for several years when kept in their original packaging in a dry and clean environment. The date shown on the packaging is the manufacturing date, not the expiry date.

What is the difference between a standard open tip and an OpenBass tip? The standard open tip is best suited for mild high-frequency hearing loss and allows natural ambient sounds into the ear. The OpenBass tip sits slightly deeper, boosts low frequencies more effectively, and enhances streaming – but still maintains an open, airy feel thanks to its vents.
