The Cedis cleaning tablet is suitable for users who tend to produce a lot of earwax, or who are exposed to dust and moisture. It is recommended to clean the earmould once a month, or more often as needed. When cleaning, it is also advisable to replace the hearing aid's retention tubing to keep the hearing aid in good working order and ready for use.

Regular cleaning of the hearing aid earpiece improves sound quality, prevents blockages and prolongs the life of the device. If wax or dirt builds up on the earpiece, the sound canal of the hearing aid can become completely blocked. This can reduce the quality of the sound or block it altogether. A clean earpiece also reduces the growth of bacteria and fungi, which can cause ear infections and other hygiene risks.
The Cedis cleaning tablet is dissolved in water, where it forms an effective cleaning solution. The cleaning tablet loosens impurities and gently yet effectively disinfects the earmould. After cleaning, the earmould should be rinsed and thoroughly dried before reattachment.
Cleaning tablets are only intended for washing ear pieces. Under no circumstances should the hearing aid be immersed in water.
Fill the glass or jar with water.
Add one Cedis cleaning tablet and allow it to dissolve completely.
Remove the earpiece from the hearing aid and the tube.
Place the earpiece in the solution and leave to soak for at least 15 minutes, up to a maximum of 8 hours.
Remove the earpiece, rinse it with clean water and dry it thoroughly with a Cedis drying pump.
Check that the sound passage and the ventilation opening are completely dry.
We recommend cleaning in the evening to allow the earpiece to dry overnight.
