protect your hearing aids from wax and preserve sound quality
Oticon NoWax wax protector is a small white disposable filter that prevents ear canal wax and dirt from entering the hearing aid's earpiece. Regular replacement of the wax filter keeps the hearing aid clean, prevents sound degradation and reduces unnecessary service visits.
This pack contains 6 pcs NoWax wax filters and the replacement tools for them. Wax protectors are suitable for Oticon and Bernafon in-the-ear and in-the-ear models (RIC, RIE, RITE).

The ear always secretes some wax, but the amount varies from person to person. Earwax can clog the hearing aid, resulting in reduced, distorted or no sound. This is the most common cause of hearing aid malfunction. With the NoWax earwax protector:
Hearing aid sound quality remains clear
The risk of blockages is significantly reduced
Reduced need for service visits, as you can replace the wax guard yourself
Oticon hearing aids (ear canal devices and RIC/RIE/RITE models)
Bernafon hearing aids (ear canal devices and RIC/RIE/RITE models)
Always check your hearing aid's manual or labelling to ensure that the Oticon NoWax wax protector is the correct model.
6 disposable wax filters
6 wax guard replacement tools (on a disc)
The replacement tool has two branches:
Empty head for removing old wax protection
New wax guard for fitting to a hearing aid
Note! The layout of the packaging has changed, but the contents and use have remained the same. The date shown on the packaging is the date of manufacture and the wax protectors can be used for several years after manufacture.
When the hearing aid sound is weakened, distorted or completely lost
When the wax guard is clogged with wax or dirt
Regularly as part of hearing aid maintenance
Recommendation: At least every four weeks, but more often if there is a lot of wax build-up.
Remove one tool from the wax guard disc.
The tool has two ends: one empty, the other with a new wax guard.
Press the empty end into the old wax protector in the hearing aid and pull it out.
Press the other end of the tool (the new wax guard) into the earpiece of the hearing aid.
Carefully remove the tool and make sure the new wax guard is in place.
Dispose of the used tool so that it does not get mixed up with the unused ones.
Tip: be careful when removing the tools from the reel, as the wax guard can easily come off the tool.
It is usually not worth cleaning the wax guard. If loose dirt accumulates on the surface, it can be gently swept off with a cleaning brush (e.g. Multitool or Cedis cleaning brush).
If you are not sure about the appropriate wax protector for your hearing aid, contact your hearing aid supplier or service centre.
Replace the wax protector immediately if you notice an abnormal sound quality.
Otico's NoWax wax protector is a reliable and easy-to-use solution for protecting your hearing aids from wax and dirt. Regular replacement will extend the life of your hearing aid and ensure the best possible listening experience.
