Before ordering, please check your hearing aid user manual or the place of purchase to ensure that you have miniFit ProWax wax protectors.
The date shown on the packaging indicates the date of manufacture. Wax protectors can be used for several years as long as they are stored in their own sealed packaging.
The ear canal naturally secretes earwax, which over time can clog the hearing aid. This can cause sound to become weaker, distorted or mute the hearing aid altogether.
A blocked wax seal is the most common hearing aid malfunction, but it is easily preventable by regularly replacing the wax seal yourself.
Remove one replacement tool from the packaging.
The tool has two branches: an empty branch for removing the old wax guard and a new wax guard at the other end.
Press the empty branch into the old wax guard and pull it out.
Press the new wax guard into place with the second branch.
Remove the tool and discard it after use.
Always throw away used tools so they don't get mixed up with new ones.
The recommendation is at least once a month.
More often, if you accumulate a lot of earwax.
Replace immediately if the sound becomes weaker, distorted or disappears.
You do not need to clean the wax guard, but you can gently brush off any loose film on the surface, for example with a cleaning brush.
