Tips for cleaning your hearing aid

  • November 25, 2025

Didn't you hear what your neighbour Raimo was saying again, no matter how hard you pressed the glass against the wall? I think it's time to clean your hearing aid.

Hearing aid cleaning is an important part of hearing aid maintenance and care. The Cedisin range of hearing aid cleaning aids includes a variety of Cedisin hearing aid cleaning aids that make cleaning your hearing aids easy and comfortable. Cleaning is easy with a hearing aid cleaning brush and drying pump, for example. Cleaning your hearing aid has never been easier!

The ventilation canals of the earpiece or ear canal of your hearing aid can be effectively cleaned with a Cedis cleaning brush. Designed for cleaning hearing aids, the cleaning brush prevents the ventilation channels of the hearing aid from becoming stuck with resin or other dirt, allowing the hearing aid to function as well as possible. The cleaning brushes are sold in a handy pack of 10 and come in two different thicknesses, either 2.5 mm or 5 mm. It is important to note that the cleaning brush is not suitable for cleaning the sound canals, as it may damage or block the sound canals by pushing dirt deeper into the sound canal.

Washing the earpiece of your hearing aid is also a particularly important part of hearing aid cleaning. Careful drying after a thorough cleaning is also essential, as the ear canal is very sensitive to water. In the worst case, water can block the sound canal and prevent the sound from passing through. A Cedis drying pump can help to ensure that the earpiece does not accidentally get water droplets blocking the sound canals. The drying pump blows air into the sound canal of the earpiece to remove harmful water droplets and moisture.
