Hearing aid batteries

  • November 25, 2025

Below this section you will find advice and tips on how to use hearing aid batteries. We offer hearing aid batteries from two high-quality and reliable brands; both Duracell and Rayovac hearing aid batteries are available in a range of sizes: sizes 10, 13, 312 and 675.

Battery life

The duration of hearing aid batteries is very individual, influenced by many factors. In summary, the duration is influenced by the amount of use, the environment in which the battery is used, the size of the battery and the technology of the device. The life of a single battery is around 7-12 days, depending of course on the above variables. Let's explore them a bit more.

  • Using a hearing aidA: The more the hearing aid is used during the day, the more it uses battery power. Of course, it is advisable to use the hearing aid as much as possible to allow the ear to get used to the sound amplified by the hearing aid.
  • User environment: is something that rarely comes to mind when talking about the battery consumption of a hearing aid. But a noisy environment demands more from a hearing aid, especially if the hearing aid has an automatic noise or noise cancelling feature. Also, if the listening environment is really quiet and the hearing aid has to be turned up to maximum volume, the battery will wear out faster.
  • Battery size: There are four different sizes of batteries with different capacities. The physical size of the hearing aid also affects the size of the battery, so the smaller the hearing aid, the smaller the battery.
  • Hearing aid technology: The amplification of the hearing aid also has a major impact on battery consumption. The more amplification a hearing aid has, the more it consumes battery power.
  • A wide range of accessories can be connected to hearing aids. All these add to the battery consumption of the hearing aid (e.g. telephone, remote controls, etc.)

Tips to make your hearing aid battery last as long as possible.

  • Always open the hearing aid battery case when you are not using the hearing aid.
  • Allow the battery to charge for a few minutes after removing the sticker before inserting it into the hearing aid.
  • Always store the batteries at room temperature and only remove the sticker from the batteries when you are about to insert them into the hearing aid.
