Hearing aids are easily exposed to moisture, especially in the summer, during activity and while sweating. Because a hearing aid is worn close to the hair and scalp, sweat, moisture, and condensation can accumulate in it during the day. This can cause the hearing aid to cut out, for sound quality to deteriorate, or other malfunctions.

If you notice that your hearing aid is not working reliably, especially in warm weather or after exercise, the cause may be moisture build-up in the hearing aid. Using a drying device daily helps to effectively remove moisture and supports the reliability and lifespan of your hearing aid.

How does the Dry-Sun UV 2.1 hearing aid dryer work?

The Dry-Sun UV 2.1 drying unit dries hearing aids using circulating air at 50 °C. In addition to drying, UV-C light eliminates 99.9% of bacteria without the use of chemicals, helping to keep hearing aids hygienic and reducing the risk of ear irritation and infection.

The drying program lasts 4 hours, and the device automatically switches off when the program has finished. You can therefore safely leave hearing aids in the drying device overnight.

Who is a tumble dryer suitable for?

The hearing aid dryer is suitable for all types of hearing aids. It is recommended for overnight storage of hearing aids, which keeps the devices safe and ensures they are clean, dry, and ready for use in the morning.

Regular drying helps protect the delicate components of your hearing aid and can significantly extend the device's lifespan.

Instructions for use:

Using for the first time

1. Connect the USB cable to the 5 V power supply and the USB-C connector to the socket on the back of the drying station.

2. Connect the power supply to the mains

Use

3. Open the cover of your Dry-Sun uv 2.1 device

4. Place the cleaned hearing aid with the battery compartment cover open (if possible) in the drying station

5. Press the touch button briefly and the drying programme (drying + UV-C) will start automatically (LED will light up continuously).

6. Close the lid

• Ultraviolet light (253.7 nm) eliminates 99.9% of pathogens and bacteria within 4 minutes (LED flashes)
• After 4 minutes, the UV-C light automatically turns off, the drying process continues (LED on continuously)
•  During the last 4 minutes of the 4-hour drying programme, a second UV-C hygiene cleaning is run (LED flashes)
• After 4 hours of drying, the appliance automatically switches to stand-by mode (LED goes out)
